During the 17th Century, on one of their Caribbean Islands,
the notorlous English pirate, Sir Jeffrey Brook lost his ship
in a card game and so was temporarily beached. With his crew,
he was arrested by the French military authorities.
A few days out at sea in the French man-of-war, Jeffrey organizes
a revolt with the aid of the prisoners, and takes over the ship.
Following a severe storm, his ship loses its rudder and Is forced
to drop anchor off a small island.
Once ashore they learn from one of the Islanders that the Inhabitants
are living under heavy Portuguese oppression. Against gold, pirates
blend with rebels but at the end they fight together for freedom.
